Time and time again I find myself rolling up to the 24 hour McDonald's drive-thru around 3am on a weeknight expecting to nab myself some form of late night sustenance only to hear "I'm sorry we're closed but we'll be open again at 6:00am!" Since when is being open from 6am to 3am considered 24 hours? We have so many things telling companies ... Answer (1 of 9): As others have alluded to, shutting down the inside of the restaurant saves money. You don't have to pick up after any wrappers and napkins that customers have left behind. .
